Thylacines are carnivorous marsupials endemic to Ertia. Also called Ertian wild dogs, though not canines, they are very dog-like in appearance. Thylacines range across much of the grasslands and Eucalyptus forests of Ertia and are nocturnal and crepuscular. Like dogs, they are social and live in packs, though they are ambush predators rather than pursuit predators like dogs and wolves. Some Ertians have domesticated thylacines like dogs.

The Thylacinus tribe of Ochae'nafod are bonded to this species.

Real World Counterpart

The thylacine, or Tasmanian wolf (or tiger) went extinct in the early twentieth century as a result of introduction of dogs and extermination for fear of predation on livestock.
