Matrilineal naming
Most of the elemental races follow a matrilineal naming style as the talent for elemental magic is inherited from the mother. For many, this is a contraction of the word for "of" in their dialect and the mother's given name. This structure introduces an individual as [Name], offspring of [Mother's name].
