Belalian Vampires

Vampires belonging to Belas, the God of Corruption. They are cunning predators who rely on charm and manipulation to lure their prey. Along with Suldrians, they are wide-spread across temperate Aserra. In the Forsaken Land, they are the most politically powerful clan and live in large covens, but in Thiskel and Kalesten they tend toward smaller covens for safety’s sake, to living independently. It is more common for Belalians to try to integrate into human society in Thiskel and Kalesten.

Appearance

Belalians are often attractive, but their beauty is not as enhanced as a Suldrian’s beauty. Upon turning, the regenerative properties of vampirism heal wounds and old scars, blemishes, and rejuvenate the skin to a more youthful appearance. For a middle-aged or elderly individual, this rejuvenation would make them appear more ageless than actually younger, taking into account the deeper effects of aging in facial structure. Unlike Suldrians, there is no rapid aging for Belalians—if a child is turned by Belalian they will remain physically a child for the rest of their unlife.

Most Belalians dress the part of charmers. They dress to the height of fashion in flattering cuts and colors, making them all the more attractive to their potential victims. Other Belalians may opt to go in a different direction and dress like an average peasant, or even a beggar in order to relate to lower-class prey or gain sympathy in order to lure their prey.

Abilities

Much like Sairians, Belalians gain intellect, but Sairians are often concrete thinkers while Belalians are abstract. Also like Sairians, Belalians gain stronger telepathic abilities, but they use it more to glean information about their prey than to plant suggestions as they find it far more entertaining to actually seduce their prey on their own merits as manipulators rather than psychics.

Physically, they gain minimal increases to strength, moderate increases to speed and agility. Their senses of hearing and smell gain a moderate boost, while they gain improved night vision as well.
