Pholleios Dynasty
The Pholleios (foʊl.li:oʊs) family has ruled Agenom for thirteen generations, shortly before the Kalesten Union united North Kalesten. The Pholleios have maintained their long sovereignty with mysterious supernatural talents. Agenomians are convinced of their leaders' abilities to foretell the future and influence the minds of others.
The Pholleios Dynasty marries into the higher nobility, even though most of these nobles are themselves descended of the Pholleios. Foreign consorts are highly discouraged for purity of the Pholleios bloodline. Marriages are allowed as close as first cousins, though historically there are records of marriages between siblings. The presumed psychic abilities that the Pholleios possess are often inherited, so marriage between relations is a way of guaranteeing that those talents will be passed on.
