Sairian Vampires
Ruled over by Sai’ras, the Goddess of Chaos, Sairians are intelligent, eccentric, and even outright insane. They capture their prey with elaborate mind-games, cunning traps, and sometimes outright terrorizing them into submission. Sairians have a rather low population, with the majority in the Forsaken Land. They are also more likely to be independent from covens as the eccentricities of each individual often clashes with others.
Appearance
Sairians look much as they did when they were turned, though their regenerative ability allows scars and blemishes to heal while rejuvenating the skin. An aged individual turned to the Sairian clan would not have the same age reversal as a Suldrian, but the condition of their skin would improve, sometimes making them appear more ageless than anything.
Depending on the mental condition of the vampire, their degree of insanity may become obvious in their grooming and even physical features. Some Sairians become more sinewy with elongated or slightly exaggerated features if they obsess over these features. Fingers and toes become longer, noses longer, ears pointed in the case of humans, eyes larger, and some other traits subtly change, but it is never extreme.
Their sense of fashion is often eccentric, preferring colors and strange items, even if it is one item out of place in an otherwise normal outfit. Other Sairians may not even concern themselves with the way they dress and are clothed in rags, wear the same clothes for ages at a time, or even going nude.
Abilities
The greatest boon for Sairians is intelligence. They do gain the regenerative skills of vampires, slightly enhanced strength and agility, and improved senses, but these are modest improvements. The strength of some Sairians is greatly boosted by their insanity on its own, as it can do for humans by ignoring the pain of exerting one’s self or from adrenaline. They move faster and are more agile, but these traits can also be improved upon by the vampire if they train themselves rather than simply being granted. Like all vampires, their vision is improved for nighttime, gaining improved night vision over their natural vision. Hearing and smell are slightly improved, but a Sairian can improve these senses much in the same way they can gradually alter their appearance.
Along with their improved intelligence, they also gain strong potential for telepathy which can only be improved upon with practice and training. Sairians are some of the most psychically powerful of all vampires.
Personality
Sairian personalities are complex and varied, but many have odd “quirks”, or are even insane. The average Sairian is very intelligent, but often with obsessive-compulsive or neurotic behaviors. Individuals who had potential toward mental conditions as mortals may find them exacerbated once they become a vampire—though sometimes these conditions can lead to a very short vampiric life. As hunters, their keen intellect is turned toward playing mind-games with their potential prey until they fall into their grasps, or setting up elaborate traps (either psychological or actual traps) to snare victims. Some Sairians will torment their victims until they are satisfied with the trauma they’ve caused before feasting on them.
