The Remnant is what many Forsaken Land inhabitants, especially the Danaij, call the surviving southern end of the continent of Ageond. After the armies of the dark gods were forced to retreat to what was left of their home continent, the rest of the world collectively agreed that that remaining portion of Ageond be called the Forsaken Land as it was the last stronghold of the Dark Gods in Aserra and abandoned by the Light Gods. The Danaij do not believe their homeland to be "Forsaken", however.
