Chepol

Chepol (tʃe'poʊl) was an Ochae'nafod man of the Vulpes tribe during Aserra's Restoration period. When the Goddess Erada descended to Aserra, Chepol joined her on a grand adventure and they fell in love. When it became Erada's time to return to the higher planes, she was allowed to grant Chepol ascension. Though she left him behind, he spent the rest of his life devoted to pursuing his spiritual evolution so he could join her again. While he was still mortal, Erada visited him in his dreams and became pregnant with their son, Casril. Upon Chepol's mortal death, he was reborn as a god in the Maze of Dreams.

Chepol is not worshipped, nor is he a powerful god, but he is canonized in Aserra's mythology for his romance with Erada and devotion to her.

Appearance

Chepol's representations typically only appear in paintings and literature and they give him the typical appearance of a member of the Vulpes tribe--rather short, red-haired, and with vulpine traits. Some representations of Erada include a fox, which is a stand-in for Chepol. After his ascension, he gained white plumed wings.
