While inbreeding is rampant amongst the Divine Family, their genetic complexity makes things we typically associate with inbreeding (deformations, mental retardation, and poor health) a non-issue. However, with each successive generation, spiritual strength declines. Keep in mind that inbreeding amongst the gods is not an uncommon aspect of many of our own pagan religions.
The genetic diversity amongst the gods also allows for greater diversity in appearance as some of the children of Orran’sulani and Nydoini look nothing like them. Nydoini also took to influencing the alignment of her children through rituals and careful timing of conception to astrological periods. Similar practices were used during the conception of many third generation gods.
