Asharisan

Asharisan (ɑ’ʃɑr’ɪ’sɑn) was a dragon god who served and was a companion to Orran’sulani. His mate, Umossa, bound herself to Nydoini similarly.

Role

Asharisan’s relationship to Orran’sulani was one of deep friendship. He served as an adviser, assistant, and ally to the god. They shared a profound bond that linked their minds and intentions together. He is not worshiped in any fashion by Aserrans, though some religious histories that lack draconic influence presume that Asharisan and other dragons were little more than beasts that served the gods as mounts or pets.

Appearance

Asharisan was a large lizard-like dragon with a thick body on comparatively short legs, but with a long neck and tail. His wings were large with pronounced digits and leathery skin stretched between them. He was predominantly black, but with a greenish sheen to his scales, along with green eyes and markings on prominent features along his face.

Mate and Offspring

Asharisan was the devoted mate to Umossa, the dragon who bound herself to Nydoini as he had to Orran’sulani. They only reproduced once, a clutch of seven eggs to match Orran’sulani and Nydoini’s seven children. As Nydoini had determined the alignments of her children, Umossa did the same to ensure they had a matching companion. From this brood was born Vorkas, Asimeth, Urobolus, Kezho, Sh’Laife, Nyusha, and Alaas’th.

Demise

Upon Orran’sulani’s abrupt death, Asharisan was devastated by the severing of that link and threw himself into the ensuing war amongst the gods to seek vengeance. He was slain by the combined forces of Ispa’s children, their demons, and his own dark descendants born of Alaas’th.
