Umossa
Umossa (ʊ’məʊs’sɑ) is the dragon god who was companion to Nydoini until her death, and the mate to Asharisan.
Role
Umossa bound herself to Nydoini as a companion and ally in the same way that Asharisan and Orran’sulani bonded. Upon Nydoini’s sacrifice, and the death of her mate, Umossa fought alongside Idraen until the completion of the War of the Gods, at which point she is said to have left Aserra in her grief.
Appearance
Umossa is a dragon of lizard-like build, but more slender and elongated than Asharisan. She is of opaline color with aquamarine markings. Her wings are of a digitally articulated shape, but also plumed with white and blue feathers.
Mate and Offspring
Umossa was mated to Asharisan until his death. They only reproduced once, a clutch of seven eggs to match Orran’sulani and Nydoini’s seven children. As Nydoini had determined the alignments of her children, Umossa did the same to ensure they had a matching companion. From this brood was born Vorkas, Asimeth, Urobolus, Kezho, Sh’Laife, Nyusha, and Alaas’th.
