Tonult Islanders
The Tonult Ocean has a dynamic history. Though always Aserra's largest ocean, it was significantly smaller before most of Ageond was sunk. In the aftermath of the Cataclysm, new islands emerged in the expanded ocean, either former mountains of Ageond or the result of volcanic activity following the upheaval. Unfortunately, any cultures that inhabited the pre-existing islands in what was now the western side of the Tonult were annihilated following the Cataclysm. However, as the world settled, new explorers would venture out to the wide ocean to establish new societies as populations rebounded around the world. Groups from Ertia and eastern Kalesten and western Thiskel eventually met in the middle and established a series of interconnected colonies and melded into a united culture.
